What To Expect
COME 10 MINUTES EARLY
Our church is friendly. People will say “Hi” and try to make you feel welcome, but we also respect the fact that you may be a little nervous the first time you come to church. Our goal is to make you feel welcome and comfortable. It is okay if you just want to find a seat and sit down, but if you are up to it we would love to get to know you better. Also, if you get here a little early, you’ll have plenty of time to get your kids settled and meet our Kids workers for the day. On the last Sunday of the month we’ll also have coffee and donuts.
BRING YOUR BIBLE OR USE OURS
We’ll be reading from the Bible and hearing how it relates to life. You’ll be amazed how much you learn. Our pastor really knows how to make the Bible come to life. If you have your bible on your smartphone or tablet, that is awesome.
PARKING IS EASY
We have a parking lot that is easily accessible and directly in front of the church. You don’t have a five minute walk to get inside.
BRING THE KIDS
While we don’t have cool playgrounds or a bounce house (yet), we do have a passionate desire to make sure your kids have lots of fun as they learn basic moral values from the teaching of the Bible. We also are deeply committed to the safety and security of your kids. Our volunteers are thoroughly screened and all kids are watched very closely.
You can arrive through the main auditorium doors. When you arrive, you will check-in your nursery age children immediately to your left. Older children will begin worship with their parents and will go downstairs right before Pastor Doug starts his message.
BRING YOUR TEENS
Teenagers and college students who might be a little nervous about traditional church will feel comfortable here.
Our students meet Sunday morning at 9:45am. It is a great way for youth to learn about God in an environment where they will be very comfortable.
ENJOY THE MUSIC
We love God. We think He is worth celebration and we are honestly excited about how He is at work in our lives. We do a wide variety of music. We do emotional music with profound lyrics, and we love to sing those songs together.
We sing the newest songs you’ll hear on KLOVE and AIR1 and we sing the traditional songs from our christian heritage. You don’t have to know the songs to enjoy them, though. The words are on the screens and you can sing along if you want to. However, we think you’ll be encouraged simply by letting the words and the music wash over you each week.
COME AS YOU ARE
If you have to put on a false face to go to church, then you aren’t really helping yourself or anyone else. We’re real people, and we have the same issues in our lives that you have in yours.
DRESS AS YOURSELF
Wear jeans and T-shirts, casual clothes or dress clothes, we don’t care. You won’t feel out of place in a pair of shorts on a hot summer day, or your favorite sports team’s gear. Just be yourself when you come, but be ready to be a little better when you leave.
WHY COMMUNITY GROUPS?
Spiritual growth doesn’t happen in a vacuum. In fact, God wants His followers to live together in authentic Christian community, helping each other take our faith deeper while living out the gospel in our daily lives. That’s why we have Community Groups at Crosby Community Church.
Our Community Groups are made up of 6-12 people who are all at different stages in their walk with God. No matter how long we’ve been Christians, we’re all about becoming stronger disciples together. If you’re interested, there are several ways to connect:
- Speak with someone you’ve met and see if you can visit their group one evening
- Email Doug Wallin about plugging in

Our Pastor, Doug Wallin, is a conversational speaker. He likes to engage the audience by using humor and relevant topics to make Biblical teachings relatable. Each message lasts about 30 minutes. Watch one of our past services to get a good feel for it.
We believe the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, to be the inspired Word of God, the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men, and the Divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life.
We believe in one God, creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ, and during this age to convict men, regenerate the believing sinner, and indwell, seal, guide, instruct, and empower the believer for godly living and service.
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ; in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal, imminent, pre-millennial return in power and glory.
We believe that man was created in the image of God but fell into sin and is, therefore, lost, and only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit can salvation and spiritual life be obtained.
We believe that the only ground for justification and salvation is through faith alone in the shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection and that salvation is wholly of God’s grace.
We believe that in order to be saved, man must be born again spiritually; that the new birth’s a new creation in Christ Jesus; that it is instantaneous and not a process; and that the blessings of salvation are free to all by the Gospel.
We believe that the Lord’s Supper and Water Baptism by immersion are ordinances to be observed by the local church during this age. They are, however, not to be regarded as a means of salvation.
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead, of the believer to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord, of the unbeliever to judgment and everlasting conscious punishment.
We believe that the local church is composed of regenerated, baptized believers associated by a covenant of faith and fellowship of the Gospel.
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Lord and Head of the Church, and that every local church has the right, under Christ, to decide and govern its own affairs.
We believe that the command to give the Gospel to the world is clear and unmistakable, and this Commission was given to the churches.
